Wings for Life World Run is a unique race that starts at exactly the same time in 34 locations across the globe.
When the race started at 12.00pm in Cambridge it was 4.00am in Santa Clarita in California.
In excess of 130,000 runners took part globally with more than 2,000 of those participating in Cambridge.
Pylon One were commissioned to deliver up to 50mbps of bandwidth to innovision to enable connectivity for production back of house, Red Bull personnel, outside broadcast and members of the press.
Bandwidth was provided by installing enterprise grade Microwave equipment at the top of a 25m mast at back of house in Parker's Piece in Cambridge.
Pylon One delivered a mixture of wireless and hard wired connectivity.
The event was delivered seamlessly from a technology viewpoint, but much more importantantly, millions of pounds were raised for the worthy cause of spinal cord research.
