On behalf of an American multinational technology company specialising in internet related services and products.
Held at the 3Arena in Dublin with the requirement to install a complete enterprise grade communications infrastructure due to the venue having little or no in-house capability.
Full survey and predictive mapping of the venue as part of an initial consultancy brief was then followed by the installation of a temporary stadium network comprising in excess of 150 enterprise grade access points and core systems to provide the high density requirement for this client and the 5000 attending delegates.
The core was designed in a manner so as to ensure resiliency and redundancy with automatic failover.
The schedule required that the installation, including all cabling, had to be installed and operational within three days to be ready for client rehearsals and client team testing and was installed by a team of 7 technicians who then supported the event, delegates, production and the onstage client demos.
The system supported over 7000 unique devices and over 4000 concurrent connections during the event with the wireless traffic alone able to saturate one of the two 1Gbps dedicated to the event.
